What is Hot in Cross Stitch?

I have never had a cross stitch pattern that has been so popular.  These three little witches have taken the world by storm…

It helps to be one of the only people on eBay to carry this design by Lettie. of The Needle’s Notion.  These little ladies are called Bewitching Trio. Lettie has also designed three Alphabet Dolls with the same look in Colonial Dresses

2013 International USPS Increases

On January 27, 2013 the United States Post Office mailing prices will be going up.  Domestic (USA and territories) is pretty standard for increases in the past.

Where I noticed the Drastic Change is in International.  Priority Flat Rate is HUGE!

Priority Flat Rate Envelopes to Canada was $12.95. It will go to $19.95

Other international Flat Rate Priority Envelopes will go from $16.95 to $23.95

First Class:

Countries are broken up into regions for first class

  • Group 1 (Canada)
  • Group 2 (Mexico)
  • Group 3 – 5 (Eastern Asia, Europe, and Australia)
  • Group 6 – 9 (Western Asia, Africa, Latin America, Caribbean, and New Zealand)

I ship a great deal of large flat envelopes first class internationally.

January 27, 2013 I will be paying the following rates: (This is online rates)  Rates at the USPS Counter are higher.

Here are some more International Changes

uspschanges2013

First Class Mail International is being renamed First Class Package Service International and is being transferred to the “competitive product list” which allows the mail class to be eligible for Commercial Base pricing (online rate discounts).

2013 rates are seeing a significant increase, with rates increasing as much as 60% for packages that weigh up to 1 lb

Make sure you get all adjustments to shipping internationally done  on eBay, Etsy, and your business website.

If you want to dig deeper into pricing, grab the whisky and visit the USPS new prices here

Flat Rate is Pricing not Thickness

Flat Rate Priority Envelopes… Is it Flat Rate Pricing or does it mean it has to be Flat?

Flat Rate Priority Envelopes means it is the same price to mail a package anywhere in the United States, Puerto Rico and Territories including FPO/APO for around $5.00

It can be any thickness as long as the envelope has not be reshaped by cutting it … actually read the DMM here

This is 123 1.5 of the DMM for USPS.

12315dmmflatrate

If it fits, it ships.   UP TO 70 lbs.

You can print off the DMM from the USPS website.  Copy 123 1.5 and take to the post office if you have postal clerks that don’t know the postal regulations.

Stamps.com & Why I Use It

Stamps.com No Monthly Fee to eBay Sellers

Yes you heard it … Stamps.com normally charges a monthly fee for this service but as an avid Stamps.com user, I highly recommend using this service over PayPal and eBay shipping for one reason.

It is so fast…. it Rocks

I like stamps.com for many reasons… here they are.. not in any particular order

1. all eBay orders are imported into Stamps.com after they are paid

2. You can add weight and class of shipping quickly

3. You can print all orders at once

4. Stamps.com feeds the tracking info back to eBay

5. You can set up Stamps.com to send a note to your customer with the tracking information

6. You go to the front of the line at the post office and just drop off the packages on the counter

Give it a try at the link below.

I have no association with Stamps.com and am not getting any kickback or anything.  It is just a program I love.

I originally started with Stamps.com a number of years ago and went to Endicia and had so many problems with it so someone suggested going back to Stamps… I did and am so happy I did.
