Ask Cindy: Seller Protection International
Category : eBay , PayPal , Shipping Internationally , Shipping Packages
Kim asked tonight if she is covered if she ships international with first class package by USPS.
Kim you have to have proof of delivery such as a delivery confirmation. Easy in the US if you ship online and get free delivery confirmation with First Class and Priority packages.
Much harder internationally.
You hear people say all the time that you can ONLY get delivery confirmation with Express. Â I went to the USPS website tonight and this is what they have on their site.
So as I ship a $300.00 order tomorrow to the customer in Russia (0 Feedback and brand new buyer on eBay) Â I will not only be praying but I will be using the signature confirmation on the service that works for seller protection.
I will keep you posted.
I hope this helps Kim and thanks for stopping by my blog.

January 25, 2013 at 9:12 amI read so many horror stories about shipping to Russia. Had 2 items going to Russia last week….I ship internationally, but this was a first to Russia, and 2 in the same week. I ended up insuring them thru U-Pic (shipsaver doesn’t cover Russia). We’ll see how it goes. Let us know the outcome of your Russia transaction.

January 25, 2013 at 8:18 pmThank you so much. This was extremely helpful to have all the information I was wondering about in one spot. Looking forward to hearing about the registered first class international prices after they have been updated. I love the Ask Cindy concept. THANKS

January 25, 2013 at 9:02 pmI mailed to Russia today.. very nervous… I have had one claim in 75,000 transactions and it is to Russia. I lost but but is the key word here. I have sold hundreds to Russia with no problem and I usually ship First Class International with no insurance and no delivery confirmation.
